By definition the purchasing agent assists in the selection and purchasing of goods and services by gathering and screening information about products, prices, and supplies, and then solicits bids from vendors.
Each principal investigator is considered the purchasing agent for his or her project, and works with the 研究基金会 to obtain a purchase order when necessary. Individuals acting as purchasing agents must at all times adhere to the 研究基金会 Procurement Policy and code of ethics, and ensure integrity in the purchasing practices 组织的.
